General Instructions
The "
Add printer" link will download a file which, when run, will
add the chosen printer to your computer. The "
Clear all network printers"
link will clear all the printers that your computer has been networked to.
Browser Specific Instructions
Internet Explorer:
- Click the link for desired printer.
- A warning box will appear, click OK.
- The "File Download Box" appears, click Open. (If you decide
not to add the printer, Click Cancel)
- A "Security Warning" box appears, click Run.
- View newly networked printer
Firefox:
- Click the link for desired printer.
- A warning box will appear, click OK.
- Another warning box will appear asking if you would like to save the file,
click "save file"
- The Firefox download box opens with a list of all files that have been downloaded.
Double click on the file (it will look something like this: K0058_Bursar.vbs)
- A warning box appears asking "Open Executable File?" Click OK.
- View newly networked printer
Important!
To see your newly networked printer, open "
Printers and Faxes" from
the
Start Menu. If you want this printer to be set as you default printer
(have all print jobs sent there), right click on the printer, and select "
Set
as Default Printer"
