Technology Updates in the Newport Campus Auditorium

There is a new look and sound at the Newport campus auditorium with the installation of an integrated multimedia control system. Two touch panels at front and rear podiums control both video and computer projection, sound and lighting levels, and automatically lower and raise the huge 25’ screen. The instructor’s podium is further enhanced with a document camera as well as the new Sympodium interactive whiteboard. The space is quite impressive with major sound and visual enhancements. Plans are underway to design a similar system for each of the quads in the Buddy Hackett Theatre in Warwick.
