Pipeline Account Creation for New and Returning Students
New CCRI students or returning students who have not been enrolled in a class for two years or more, must create a Pipeline account by clicking on the "Create your Pipeline account" link on the Pipeline login page at http://pipeline.ccri.edu.
Once the account is created, the student can then enter their username and password in the "Secure Access Login" area of the login page to gain access to their account. Initial Pipeline password for everyone is their birth date in the format, MMDDYY.
Please note that this only affects new students or student accounts that have been inactive for more than two academic years at CCRI. Student Services staff will encourage students to create their Pipeline accounts as they enter the college. The IT Help Desk is also available to aid students in this process.
Faculty should be aware that their official course roster, which is available under the For Faculty tab in Pipeline, accurately reflects the students who are enrolled in their course. The My Courses information - specifically the class e-mail list and course member list - will not display students who have not created their Pipeline account. In addition, since the WebCT accounts are populated from existing Pipeline accounts, students will also not have a WebCT account until they activate their Pipeline account.
We request that faculty encourage their students to create their accounts so that they will receive important information and have access to online services.
If you have any questions on this process, please call the Help Desk at 825-1112.
