Installing Microsoft Software for Home Use
CCRI participates in the Microsoft Campus Agreement version 3.2. This agreement provides all College employees and students access to current versions of Microsoft's most popular computer software on all campus owned computers. The agreement also allows full-time CCRI faculty and staff who use computers at work to load a copy Microsoft Office on a personal laptop or desktop computers.

Licensing Terms
The Microsoft Campus Agreement 3.2 is an annual license for the products listed above. There is no right to perpetual use of copies of software obtained under this agreement and no right to use the software if the agreement is not renewed or terminated at any time by CCRI or Microsoft.
Full-time CCRI employees who use a computer at work may install the software covered under the agreement on one home PC for work-related purposes. They may not lend the software to non-CCRI employees. By installing the software at home, eligible users are agreeing to un-install these programs should their employment at CCRI end or if the agreement is terminated.
Who is Eligible to Load the Products on Personal Computers
Under the Microsoft Campus Agreement 3.2, full-time employees who use computers at work are eligible to use MS Office, MS FrontPage, MS Publisher, Visual Studio Professional, and the Back Office/Core Server CALs on a personally owned computer at home. Microsoft requires that those who do not use a computer at work may not take the software home.
Who is NOT Eligible to Load the Products on Personal Computers
Part time CCRI employees (including adjunct faculty) are eligible to use the software on campus but are not covered under the agreement to load the software on personal computers.
CCRI students are eligible to use the software on campus but are not covered under the agreement to load the software on personal computers.
Retired employees are not covered under this agreement.
Getting Software for Home Use
The distribution of software covered by the license agreement for full-time CCRI faculty and staff that use computers at work takes place through the Help Desk at the Knight Campus, room 2113 and Classroom Support located at the Flanagan, Liston, and Newport campuses. The CDs are distributed on first come first served basis and can be borrowed for up to 48 hours. Installation instructions are available (see links below) and can be picked up at the same time.
