Norton Antivirus Updates
The Norton AntiVirus license ensures the most up-to-date protection. Virus definitions are updated on Friday's of each week.
The majority of computers on campus and in the labs are configured by the Information Technology staff to update the virus definitions automatically every week. This process automatically searches for the latest virus definitions on your computer and updates the necessary files via the network from Symantec’s web server.
To determine whether your PC is configured with the latest virus definition file, click on the Start button, click Programs and see if Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition is listed and check the virus definition file date to ensure that it is no more than a week old. If Norton AntiVirus is not installed on your office PC, please call the Help Desk at x1112.
