CCRI Faculty Laptop Program
The purpose of the laptop program is to provide a mobile tool for faculty that helps to enhance teaching and learning, conduct administrative duties, and support communication.
CCRI provides a limited number of laptop computers to faculty whose professional responsibilities and personal preferences meet the criteria developed by the Academic Technology Advisory Committee (ATAC) which are as follows:
- Faculty member is full time; and
- Faculty member has responsibilities at multiple campuses or instructional sites; or
- Faculty member uses technology to enhance teaching and
learning
The responsibility for the distribution of laptops rests with the department chairperson in accordance with the Technology Renewal Plan.
The laptop computer is intended to serve as the primary computer workstation. If a faculty member has a desktop computer, it will be replaced by the laptop.
