Moving a Column in the Student Grade Book
If you have a student grade book with many columns there may be a time when you scroll over to enter grades in a column and the student names scroll off the screen. One way to handle this is to move the column you wish to grade closer to the student names.

Step 1From the Designer Links or Control Panel, click Manage Course, and then click Manage Students. The Manage Students grade book screen appears. |

Step 2Under Actions, from the Organize drop-down list on the far right, select Manage columns and click Go. The edit Columns screen appears. |

Step 5Click back on the Manage Students breadcrumb to return to the grade book. You should now be able to see the student names next to the column you wish to grade. |

Hiding Columns
Another option to handle too many columns in the student grade book is to hide the ones you are not working on. When you hide a column, it is hidden from your display but does not affect how the students see their own grades. You can always reveal the columns at any time.
