Adding a new quiz or exam

1. Click on the Quiz link from the Homepage, Course Menu or Organizer Page. The Quizzes/Surveys screen displays as seen in Figure 4-1.

2. Click on the Create quiz button. The Create Quiz screen displays as seen in Figure 4-2.

3. Type in the title for the quiz in the Title text box. See Figure 4-2.

You may create a quiz or exam based on the template of another quiz. To do this you would select the Base this quiz on a template radio button and then select the quiz you want to use as a template. This option creates a duplicate of the quiz you have selected as a template. You can then make changes to the new quiz. You would use this option to create an accommodations version of the exam that requires a different length of time but only after you’ve completed the entire original exam.

4. Select the Do not use another quiz or survey as a template radio button to create a new quiz not based on a template.

5. Click on the Create button. The new quiz title is added and displays in the Quizzes/Surveys screen.
