Faculty Workshops - January 2008
The Department of Information Technology is pleased to invite CCRI faculty members to attend a range of professional development sessions on instructional technology in January.
We will be offering two specialized media workshops on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Warwick campus. Registration for these workshops is due by Monday, January 7, 2008. These workshops are:
Producing Instructional Videos - 9 a.m. -

Creating Video Course Introductions for the Web
- 1- 2 p.m. in
Warwick Room 4100
In addition, we will be holding our annual series of
workshops on
Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17 at the
Providence campus. The focus of the
workshops will be to employ different strategies to enhance teaching and
learning. There will be something
to learn for everyone, whether you are a beginner or experienced user of
technology. Project time will be built into both days in order to allow
faculty enough time to get ready for the coming semester. Due to
limited space for these sessions, registrations will be accepted on a first-come first-served
basis. To register, please

REGISTRATIONS FOR THE WORKSHOP SERIES ARE DUE BY MONDAY,
JANUARY 14, 2008.
After registering for workshops, participants will receive an e-mail confirmation.
There will be print-based handouts available for many of the topics offered for those faculty who are not able to make the sessions. Any questions or concerns about any of the sessions may be directed to a member of the Department of IT Instructional Support staff.Another opportunity. Due to a cooperative agreement with Rhode Island College IT staff, CCRI faculty are also welcome to participate in WebCT training courses held at RIC if there are open seats. View their schedule and e-mail ittraining@ric.edu indicating which sessions you are interested in attending to check for available seats.
Customized Workshop Opportunities
Is there a skill you've been meaning to learn but haven't had the time or opportunity? Let us know what topics you are interested in and the IT Instructional Support staff will set up targeted workshops for groups of 5 or more faculty on a date and time of your choice.
