Centers for Instructional Technology
Centers for Instructional Technology (CITs) have been created on all campuses to provide sophisticated hardware, specialized software and reference books to allow faculty members to explore new tools to enhance their courses.
The Centers are open whenever the buildings are open. If the room is locked, get the key from the Help Desk (Warwick only) or IT Office during the weekdays or from Security after hours and on weekends. Help in the Warwick CIT is available by contacting Norm Grant in that office at 825-1195. Help for the Lincoln CIT is available by contacting Gene Grande at 333-7031. Help for the Newport Campus is available by contacting Dan Persaud at 851-1708. The Center on the Liston campus is open the same hours as the IT office. An Instructional Support team member will visit the Liston CIT every Wednesday throughout the semester. Help with this equipment and software may be arranged by either contacting a member of the Instructional Support team or the Help Desk at 825-1112.
In addition to the hardware and software residing in the Centers, additional digital cameras, digital camcorders, laptops, portable projectors and other equipment are available for loan through IT by calling 455-6111. Full-time faculty and staff may also borrow specific Office software through the library to install on their home computers due to special licensing agreements.
