Policies and Guidelines
Faculty and staff who place content on the streaming server are responsible for obtaining proper permission and/or legal releases. Content must also comply with CCRI responsible use guidelines and multimedia copyright law. Failure to comply with current multimedia guidelines may result in removal of content.
Faculty and staff are expected to remove inactive content from the server on an annual basis. The Department of Information Technology reserves the right to remove any content that has not been accessed within a period of one year or does not adhere to file storage policy. Before deleting content, IT staff will contact the owner.
CCRI utilizes Windows Media Player for its media streaming service. Supported file formats include (.asf, .wmv, .wma, and .wm). Windows Media Player is available for Apple computers as well as computers that are running a Windows operating system.
File storage space is allocated to 1GB for each individual account and may be increased upon request. The maximum individual file size should not exceed 200 MB and video files should play no longer than 50 minutes in length.
