Renaming Files
FrontPage has a very nice feature which, when you rename files, will automatically search all of the HTML code on your site and change any links which refer to the old filename to refer to the new filename.
Please follow these steps when renaming files:

Step 5Change the file name only. Make sure to leave the file extension ".shtml" and hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard Please Note: If you change the extension by accident, FrontPage will give you a warning message telling you that your file may become unusable. Make sure to choose "no" when you are asked if you are sure that you want to change the file type. |

Step 6At this point, if there are links to this file, a pop-up window will inform you that "there are (a number) of pages that have hyperlinks to this page" and ask if want FrontPage to update the links on these pages to the new filename. Select, "Yes" |

Step 7At this point, the process of renaming will display in the pop-up window. When the renaming is complete, the pop-up will disappear and the process will be complete. |
