Creating a Hyperlink to a File in Your Web Folder
You can quickly create hyperlinks to other pages in your web folder. As you create links from the home page to various other pages in the site, it is a good idea to create links back to the home page from the other pages. These extra links allow the site visitor to return to the home page quickly and easily from anywhere.
The Create Hyperlink dialog box lists all the pages and files in the web, and you can use this dialog box to quickly link to any of them. Pages that are open in Page view are located at the top of the list box and indicated by a page icon with a pencil. Pages in the web that are not open in Page view are located at the bottom of the list box and indicated by a page icon.
- Open the page containing the text to which you want to link.
- Drag your mouse over the text you want to use to link to the page.
- Click the Hyperlink button
on
the Standard toolbar. - Select the page or file in the web to which you want to link.
- Select OK.
