Creating an E-mail Hyperlink
You can create a link that opens a reader’s e-mail program and automatically addresses a message. This type of link is useful when you want a reader to be able to send you e-mail easily, such as feedback on your web.
In the Create Hyperlink dialog box, the Make a hyperlink that sends E-mail button opens the Create E–mail Hyperlink dialog box . You enter the desired e-mail address and FrontPage fills in the correct protocol, mailto, automatically.
Steps to creating a mailto hyperlink:
- Open the page containing the text to which you want to link.
- Drag to select the text you want to use to create a mailto link.
- Select the Insert menu.
- Select the Hyperlink command.
- Click the Make a hyperlink that sends E-mail button.
- Type the desired e-mail address.
- Select OK.
- Select OK.
