Creating Hyperlinks in Your Web Page

One of the main strengths of a web page is the ability to link to other documents, either in your web folder or on distant web servers, link to a location within a long document, or link to an e-mail form. You can even link to locations within the same document if it is lengthy.

Hyperlinks will not work in Normal view in FrontPage. To test your hyperlink remember to switch to the Preview tab or choose File - Preview in Browser... or click the Preview button

Choose the type of hyperlink you want to use on your page:

Hyperlink to a location within the same document using bookmarks (good for very long documents you don't want to break up)

Hyperlink to a web page within your own web folder

Hyperlink to a web page on a distant web server

Hyperlink to an e-mail form (also called a mailto: link)
