Microsoft Office 2007 Installation Instructions for Home
Recommended minimum requirements:
- Computer/ Processor - 500 MHz processor or higher
- Memory - 512 megabyte (MB) RAM or higher
- Hard Drive - 2 GB (a portion of this disk space will be available after the install is complete)
- Monitor Display - 1024x768 or higher screen resolution
- Drive - CD-ROM or DVD
- Operating System - Windows XP with Service Pack (SP) 2 , Windows Server 2003 with SP1, or later operating system
Before installing Office 2007 you will need to uninstall all previous versions of Office.
*Note: These installation instructions were done using Windows XP-SP2

Step 1From the Start menu, select Control Panel. |

Step 2From the Control Panel window, double-click the Add or Remove Programs Icon. |

Step 3From the list of programs, select the version of Microsoft Office to remove. Click to select the program and then click Remove. |

Step 4A dialog box asking "Are you sure you want to remove Microsoft Office xxxx from your computer?" Click Yes. Note: the uninstall process may take several minutes. |

Step 5When successfully uninstalled, click Close |
Step 6Insert the MS Office Enterprise 2007 CD into the CD/DVD drive, the Enter your Product Key window will appear. Enter the 25 character product key found on the case. When entered correctly, a green tick will appear. Click Continue |

Step 7Read the Microsoft Software License Terms agreement. Click in the box for "I accept the terms of the agreement" and then click Continue. |

Step 8From the Choose the installation you want screen, you have two options: Install Now for the quickest and the most convenient way to install Office 2007 Customize if you would like to customize your installation to your specific needs. |

Step 9If you choose Customize, on the Installation Options tab you will be able to see all the applications available in Office 2007. Click on the down arrow in front of Microsoft Office, select Run all from My Computer. You can also choose to change the location of the install from c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office by clicking on the File Location tab. Click on the User Information tab to enter your Full Name, Initials and Organization. To continue with the install, click Install Now. |

Step 10The Installation Progress Window will open. The install process will take several minutes. |

Step 11Once the installation has been completed, you will be prompted to either go to MS Office Online to get free product updates, help and online services or Close. |
