Installation of Office XP
Please follow the steps outlined below:
- Insert the MS Office XP Professional with FrontPage CD into CD-ROM drive and wait while the wizard guide loads.
- The Install Windows and Office Component Updates screen will appear click NEXT.
- The End-User License Agreement box appears. In the lower left hand corner, click in the I accept the terms in the License Agreement box and then click Install.

- The Installation Progress of System File Update will begin. When it is finished, you will be prompted to reboot your computer.
- Once your pc has been rebooted, the MS Office XP Professional with FrontPage wizard appears.
- The User Information box will appear and you will be prompted to
enter the following information:
- Username: CCRI (the default)
- Initials: (you can leave this blank)
- Organization: Community College of RI (the default)
- Product Key: (this 25 alpha/numeric code id located on the MS/Office XP CD case)
- The End-User License screen will appear again. In the lower left hand corner, click in the I accept the terms in the License Agreement box and then click Install.
- From the Choose the type of installation you need box, select Complete and click Next.

- From the Remove previous versions of Office applications, select Remove all previous versions and then click Next.
- Begin Installation will appear, click Install (at this point all previous versions will be removed and Office XP will be installed)

- You will be prompted to Upgrade Outlook - click Yes
- The Installation Progress of Office XP will begin. Please note that at this time the removal of previous versions will take place and will then be followed by the install of Office XP.
- After the installation has been completed, you will be prompted to reboot your pc, click OK and proceed to restart your computer.
- To restore the Office Toolbar, click on the Start, Programs, Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar.
